Chapter 11 Gregory # 2

 

Sandy is baking her infant son Joel a birthday cake. Today he will be aging up to a toddler.

Blow out those candles Joel! Toddlerhood here we come!

Joel Gregory. Toddler son of Sandy Gregory. Joel is a fussy little toddler (not a surprise as spoiled as he was as an infant.)

Joel does not want to learn how to potty. Nope. Nope. Don't want to!

Now Joel doesn't want to learn his flashcards from mom.

You might as well cooperate with your mom, Joel. She will win every time. That's a good lesson to learn.

Well...she partially wins. You win if you are trying to frustrate your mom into pulling out her hair.

Joel is happy now. Mom gave in and gave him what he wanted to eat.

Annette met a very nice young man at work. His name is Zachariah Durant. He has become a frequent visitor to the Gregory home.

Things appear to be getting a little bit serious between the two of them.

Pretty serious indeed.

Fussy Joel is once again throwing a temper tantrum because he is tired, and mom is taking too long to clean up his mess and put him to bed.

You have got to stop all your screaming young man, or you can stand there all night! Maybe eventually he will get the hint.

Annette is happy and enjoying her blossoming romance with Zachariah. 

"So, sis. Things seem to be looking pretty serious between you and Zachariah. Is that right?"

"I think so. Yeah."

Annette is not thrilled to have to babysit her little nephew. She loves him to death, but he can be a fussy little monster especially to his mom.

"Now Joel. While mommy is working in the garden you need to sit there and look at your videos, okay? Aunt Annette has a lot of work to do still."

That surprisingly seemed to work.

Sandy is trying hard to keep the garden growing and seems to enjoy the responsibility. It also gives her a little break from her fussy little man.

I'm sure you recall the little incident at the Romance Festival last post? Well, Sandy invited Basil over, but unbeknownst to the two of them, his wife decided to follow him over. She is apparently pregnant with twin boys. (She was sure to let Sandy know this little fact.) 

Sandy got a little upset when Basil flirted with his wife. How do you get yourself into these situations Sandy?? Basil must have a thing for girls in blue blouses.

She was upset for about five minutes and then was over it.

"Come on in Zach!" Zachariah visited again but Annette had a special reason for asking him over. She asked him to marry her. He said "Yes!" and now Annette and Zachariah are engaged.

Not one to be easily usurped by her big sister, Sandy invited her own friend over. His name is Archie Winters. Maybe he is just a friend but who knows what can happen. At least for now he makes a nice dance partner.

It seems to me that someone needs to grow up in this household...and I don't just mean Joel!

Sandy went to the Romance Festival looking for more seeds for her garden and managed to sow some seeds of jealously for a few people. She seems to thrive on the chaos and the challenge. (The guy is unflirty and even brushed off any flirting from his own wife.)

I repeat. You need to grow up Sandy.
